The Tadpole Mini balance bike is the smallest balance bike around and will make riding as easy as walking. It is essentially a toddler bike without pedals. This 10-inch balance bike is a playful way to introduce toddlers aged 18 months+ to the world of cycling, providing them with the balance necessary for riding a bike. This premium toddler’s bike has a lightweight, sturdy aluminium frame, weighing just 3.46kg, making the bike easy to manoeuvre and easy for parents to carry.
The Tadpole Mini balance bike is a great alternative to training wheels. It comes fully equipped with high-spec age-specific components, designed for comfort and longevity.
The toddler-sized saddle with quick-release seat post allows for easy height adjustment as they grow and become more confident, and the Tektro brakes with small, easy-to-reach brake levers, mean better control for mini riders. It also comes with chunky tyres for maximum stability and grip, and for added security, the bike offers the added benefit of a steering lock, which acts as a safety mechanism to prevent oversteering and serious falls.
Please note: Valve dust caps are not supplied with this model in order to adhere to safety regulations

One of the biggest temptations is to buy a child’s first bike that they will grow into. However, this will likely have the opposite effect and put your child off bikes and cycling altogether! Another common mistake is to purchase a budget kids’ bike but these models are often as heavy as a child which can lead to frustration at not being able to cycle. That’s why Frog bikes are lightweight and designed to specifically accommodate the anatomy of children.
The data obtained during our child-specific frame design research has helped us create a helpful kids’ bike sizing app. View our bike sizing guide to discover the best-sized bike for your child or alternatively speak to one of our local stockists about our children’s bike range.

Frog Bikes
is a British company specializing in lightweight, high-quality bicycles designed specifically for children aged 1 to 14. Founded in 2013 by Jerry and Shelley Lawson, the company emerged from their personal quest to find suitable bikes for their own children. Collaborating with sports scientists at Brunel University and renowned bicycle engineer Dimitris Katsanis, Frog Bikes developed child-specific bike geometry, ensuring comfort and efficiency tailored to young riders.
In 2016, Frog Bikes relocated its manufacturing from China to a 120,000 sq ft facility in Pontypool, Wales, enhancing quality control and reducing lead times. The company has received support from the Welsh Government and was honored with the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2018. Today, Frog Bikes operates in over 56 countries, with exports accounting for more than half of its turnover.

Frog Bikes joined the Race to Zero campaign in 2021, aiming to reduce emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
